OUR STORY

Gateway Church, a congregation in Glen Burnie, offers members - and visitors - a chance to become part of something greater. To grow in their love of God and for one another within our beautiful community.
 
It all started with a dream and became a reality! In February of 2006 Pastors Aaron & Jen began to visit families that were not actively involved in going to church. They began to have prayer and Bible study groups in different homes, while their group grew a hunger for God grew as well. So we began to meet in a Hampton Inn Hotel meeting room on Saturday nights. With God as their only resource, the group began to grow in size and new families were showing up every week! God was on the move and we followed close behind. There was a deeper sense of wanting more, so on April 9, 2006 we launched out on Sunday morning at Harmans Elementary School. This was an incredible moment! As we continued to grow, we moved on to a Seventh Day Adventist Church in which we rented for 13 months. During our stay there, we became an official Church of God on May 20, 2007. Later that same year, we were able to purchase our First Church Home –  996 Point Pleasant Rd,  Glen Burnie, MD 

There is no telling what the Lord has planned next, and our story is still being written. So with great expectancy we will continue to help advance the Kingdom of God. Today, Gateway Church is Thriving, Life Giving, Fun, Exciting, Spirit Filled, Family Atmosphere, Raising Up Disciples, Equipping Ministers, and Demonstrating the Love of God!
